Rick Odegaard, Broker of Record

Since 1987, Rick has been a commercial REALTOR in London. He is now the broker- owner of London Commercial Realty Inc., providing real estate and business solutions to clients in need. Real estate planning and consulting form a significant part of his practice.

He has held many positions in the volunteer sector and is the past president or past board chair of the following organizations:

  • • The South London Community Organization
  • • The Urban League of London
  • • The London Chapter, Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC)
  • • The London & St. Thomas Association of REALTORS (LSTAR)
  • • The Ontario Commercial Council, Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA)
  • • Unity Project for Relief of Homelessness in London
  • • The “W” Club, men’s athletic alumni, University of Western Ontario (UWO)
  • • In 2003, Rick was included in the London Mayor’s Honour List for his work in the housing sector.

He is married with two children who are both working in Toronto. His interests include golf, cycling, swimming, canoeing and gardening.

Mike Evans HBA (Ivey), CPA, CA, Broker

Mike Evans is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) and licensed REALTOR providing CA, business consulting and business brokerage services in the London area.  Over his 30-year career, as a partner with several larger but independent London CA firms, Mike participated in the continual growth of his partnerships, including the branding of the firm The Accountants with Personality. He has counseled businesses to effectively meet their business and personal goals and has coached them through times of stress. He is proud of the passionate service he has provided and the strong client retention that has resulted.  Mike is an Honours Business Administration (HBA)  graduate (Ivey) and was initially trained as a CA with KPMG.

In 2009, Mike took the opportunity to realize the financial goodwill of his practice and sold his interest to his partners. The move allowed hime to pursue other endeavors and to enjoy more quality time with his supportive wife and three teenaged daughters.  He has now returned to practice and has also obtained his certification as a real estate agent, in order to use his business expertise as a broker.  Mike is now managing director of Beacon Southwest, the recently launched business brokerage division of London Commercial Realty Inc.

For 30 years, Mike has helped steer the London Food Bank, a very successful London charity providing families in need with emergency food.  He is also an active member of the Business Cares Food Drive Committee, which raises over $1,000,000 in money and food for the food bank, each December.

In other volunteer work, Mike serves a Canadian charity aiding southern Sudan, referees and parents in ringette (the fastest game on ice!). Mike enjoys golf, hockey, squash and, recently, road and trail biking.
